Matt Cort wins the English PGA Championship

Matt Cort won the English PGA Championship at Saunton GC with a score of 14-under-par. He was helped by a hole in one in his opening round and put on a display of ball striking.

Matt has been working hard with European Tour coach Luke Ringrose on his swing for just over a year.

“He used to slide and tilt and he’s made his swing more repeatable”

“We played together in a better ball tournament in Spain, I hit the ball well and he asked me about my swing because it looked simple. He came to see me for his first lesson right before Wentworth. This sums up Matt approach up it’s not about today I just want to get better.”

“He comes to Tilgate to train and also uses the website. I think he will agree he’s become a more consistent ball striker”

“It a great to see a Right Sided player as English PGA Champion.”

“We are both proud PGA members so I know this will mean a lot winning this prestigious event”
